So grab your helmet, hit the road, and let’s make some memories together! Join Thrive for hike and bike adventures this summer during July, August and September! We will have two events each month with a celebration and awards for top finishers at Thrive’s annual fundraiser on Sunday September 29, 3 pm outdoors at The Ruins, Hood River. Meet up at 10 at Hutson Museum lawn in Parkdale. This is an out and back ride to the Cooper Spur Inn (Twisted Tree) on a low traffic road. So grab your helmet, hit the road, and let’s make some memories together! Join Thrive for hike and bike adventures this summer during July, August and September! We will have two events each month with a celebration and awards for top finishers at Thrive’s annual fundraiser on Sunday September 29, 3 pm outdoors at The Ruins, Hood River. Join Betty McDavitt on a Middle Valley bike adventure on low traffic, scenic roads. Meet up at the China Gorge Park and Ride lot at 9 or Pine Grove School parking lot at 9:30 AM. Parkdale Public Comment Workshop

On July 10th, Hood River County Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing to evaluate the draft of the Parkdale Community Plan and to receive public testimony. How can your voice be heard? Thrive Hood River, in partnership with Parkdale Area Residents Cooperative, is providing a public workshop that will help you share your ideas, concerns, and opinions regarding the future of Parkdale. Why: Goal 1 of Oregon’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan is citizen/public involvement. You can influence how Parkdale develops over time. Where: Parkdale Community Center, 7300 Clear Creek Road What: Workshop to learn how to participate in the planning process. Thrive Hood River will support you in writing your verbal/written testimony, walk you through the process of submitting a written comment to Hood River County, and/or help you get signed up to give in person/Zoom testimony. Hood River to Mosier Bike Ride - out and back Get Fit and Thrive this Summer!  Whether you're walking, biking, skating, or scooting, one thing's for sure – active transportation is the way to go in Hood River. So grab your helmet, hit the road, and let's make some memories together! Join Thrive for hike and bike adventures this summer during July, August and September! We will have two events each month with a celebration and awards for top finishers at Thrive’s annual fundraiser on Sunday September 29, 3 pm outdoors at The Ruins, Hood River. Join Peter Cornelison on a lovely bike ride along the historic highway to either Marsh Creek (21 mi, 1050’ elevation) or Rowena Crest (26 mi, 1241’ elevation), group decision. Bid on a selection of experiences, art, food, wine and much more that showcases our beautiful valley and beyond! Every dollar raised will directly benefit Thrive and enable us to carry out our mission. We look forward to continuing helping farmers with their land use permits, protecting the north side of the mountain for wildlife habitat, watershed health and sustainable backcountry recreation, working to connect our neighbors to fire mitigation education, and advocating for our much-needed missing middle housing and active transportation initiatives.  Following the auction, item pickups will be scheduled in Hood River, Portland and individually with those who are farther away. Join Thrive’s Co-Executive Directors for a guided hike up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail #643 to the Tilly Jane A Frame. This difficult hiking trail, which was first cut in 1938 by members of the Crag Rats, climbs 1900 vertical feet and totals 5.4 miles. The beautiful up and back hike passes through the forest that would be heavily impacted by any potential destination resort…

The Mount Hood Land Trade started over twenty years ago. Mt. Hood Meadows LLC tried to locate a giant destination resort with hundreds of condos, shopping malls, restaurants and golf courses just outside of Parkdale. Thrive Hood River is still fighting in court to protect the water, wildlife and habitat from potential large development. We invite you to stand up with us to protect the north side of Mt. Hood. Join Thrive's Co-Executive Directors for a guided hike up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail #643 to the Tilly Jane A Frame. This difficult hiking trail was first cut in 1938 by members of the Crag Rats and climbs 1900 vertical feet and totals 5.4 miles. The beautiful up and back hike passes through the forest that would be heavily impacted by any potential destination resort development, the regrowth from the Gnarl Ridge fire, and into the Tilly Jane Historic District.…
