Resources

Good land use planning is not a spectator sport – it needs you.

“Citizen Involvement” is Goal 1 in Oregon’s statewide land use system. Goal 1 requires that citizens be involved in all phases of the land-use process. Good planning doesn’t just allow citizen involvement, it requires it. Nobody knows our county better than you, the people who live here.

As Tom McCall, illustrious Governor of Oregon and founder of our land use system put it “Heroes are not giant statues framed against a red sky. They are people who say: This is my community, and it is my responsibility to make it better.”

Here are some resources to help you make Hood River better.
