ODELL COMMUNITY PLAN OPEN HOUSE #2

  • News

Hood River County is hosting an Open House for the Odell Urban Unincorporated Community Plan (UUCP). This event will present two possible boundary options (see the planner’s maps: OPTION A, OPTION B). The initiative explores land use to guide Odell’s future development, which may involve zoning changes, modifications to allowable uses, and the development of strategies to promote affordable housing in Odell.

Thrive Hood River has collaborated with the planning group as they developed the options being presented. Our mission is to protect as much farmland as possible and foster sustainable, affordable housing opportunities for our workforce. Both objectives are integral to our mission, and we are committed to achieving both.

Thrive agrees that one (and only one) of the two options minimizes the impact on our precious high-value farmland and serves our mission for workforce housing opportunities. On the other hand, the other bigger option compromises essential agricultural lands. We need your input and attendance at this Open House event organized by Hood River County on April 10, 2025, at 6 PM at Mid Valley Elementary School.

Please attend if you can. Your engagement and voice are crucial in making informed decisions that reflect our community’s values and priorities.

Please contact us with any questions. Your involvement is invaluable, and together, we have the power to guide the County toward a balanced and thriving future.
