McCarthy Family Farm Tour

Thrive Hood River and our longtime Board Member Mike McCarthy would like to invite you to a farm tour of McCarthy Family Farm’s multi-generation operation in Mt. Hood. This tour will be a unique opportunity to see behind-the-scenes of a commercial pear harvest at its peak, and their production of fruit and other high-quality products using sustainable farming practices. There will also be time to ask questions about how Oregon’s land use system supports preserving farmland, farm succession, and issues facing farmers in the valley.
