We're thrilled to introduce Sandi Scheinberg, the newest member of our board of directors. Sandi is a non-profit consultant who has more than 20 years of experience supporting organizations working in the areas of environment, health, education, arts, social service, housing, and disaster preparedness. She has worn many non-profit hats, serving as an executive director, board member, and grant maker—and brings this wide range of perspectives to Thrive.

City of Hood River Takes Action on Climate

In November, Hood River became the first city in Oregon to pass a resolution recognizing a Climate Crisis and committing Hood River to go carbon free in its own operations by 2035. The City doesn't just talk the talk, it walks the walk. Hood River has a long history of leadership on climate and sustainability issues.

Golden Tickets at H is for Harvest

We're pretty excited about the goodies that we will be auctioning at H is for Harvest, our big fall fundraiser, Saturday October 19. If you've got your eyes on an item but can't make the event, contact us to place an absentee bid. Or buy a golden ticket for $50. The winning golden ticket will be drawn at the beginning of the auction and will entitle the winner to any lot in the live auction (except for the Silcox Hut and Italy vacations).
