A is for Amazing Auctions Items!

We’re pretty excited about the goodies that we will be auctioning at H is for Harvest, our big fall fundraiser, October 13, 6 pm at The Ruins, Hood River (tickets available here). If you’ve got your eyes on an item but can’t make the event, contact Polly Wood or (541) 490-5443 to place an absentee bid.

S is for Summer Art Camp at Leslie Smith’s Kid’s Creations for 7 days. This is the classic Hood River summertime experience and creative release for your little one. Each day camp art session runs from 10 until 3 pm Monday – Friday. Supply your child or grandchild with a sack lunch and they will frolic for hours with various art mediums and let those creative juices flow.     

     


 

T is for Totally Gorgeous ceramics by Hood River’s own Trudi Klinger of Mystic Mud Studios. She’ll be making a special custom item just for this event.

 

 


 

E is for Eight Yards of Gravel from Lane’s Excavation – delivered to your door – or a perhaps a little bit away from it.Our most weighty item of the night. You know you need it…

 



W is for Watching Wildlife on the Water – 3 Night, 3-Day stay at Nestucca River Beach House in Pacific City – courtesy of Jeff Hunter and Margery Dogotch. This wonderful custom built home sits right on the Nestucca River with a view like no other. The 2 bedroom, 2 bath home sleeps 4 adults, and ocean beaches are just 5 blocks away. A is for A Jolly Wood Time…It’s comic relief and a fine meal. That’s dinner for six at the home of Polly and John Wood. The food will be seasonally fresh, local and prepared by former cake baker and caterer, Polly Wood. John will crack open some fine wine (supplied by TBA)…and a few memorable quips. Let the good times roll at Chez Jolly Wood.


R is for Rustic Italy Under the Tuscan Sun! Enjoy your 7- day, 7-night stay inCortona, Italy, a medieval Tuscan Hill town situated between Rome and Florence. Our high bidder gets their choice of one of three (3) accommodations: Casa Stella, Casa Comedia, or Casa Pontormo. S is for Slumber Party Silcox Hut!!

A one of a kind slumber party at Timberline’s Silcox Hut for up to 24 people. silcox at nightAbove the main lodge at Timberline, Silcox Hut is perfect for a private overnight hideaway. Originally built in 1939 as a warming hut and the upper terminus of the Magic Mile ski lift, Silcox Hut today is a rustic and welcoming alpine lodge on the silcox great roomsouth side of Mount Hood.

Perched at 7,000 feet, it sits at the base of Hood’s best late-season runs on the Palmer Snowfield. Its great room boasts hand-carved tables and chairs, wrought iron accents and a roaring stone fireplace. Silcox guests enjoy the hospitality of a host who is with you for the entire stay. I is for Incredibly Lovely. It’s 15 weeks of fresh flowers! Local flower growers Wendy and Randy Gray of Cutflowers For You grow some of the best blooms in our valley! These artistically arranged, seasonally fresh bouquets include delivery in the Hood River Valley. The “Bouquet CSA” (that stands for Community Supported Agriculture) begins late June through early October, 2019.

 


P is for the Play’s the Thing. . . Drama and Music for two in Southern Oregon! This package includes a one night for two in the lovely Ashland Hills Hotel just minutes from downtown Ashland and a voucher for two tickets to an Oregon Shakespeare Festival play of your choice. Extend the trip with an evening of music for two upon the lawn of the Britt Festival Orchestra 2019 season.
